Aquaria Water Museum opened in 1991 and has been a water museum and a restaurant for 27 years. The house was built in the 60's as a temporary building for the first exhibition of the Vasa Ship, and is not adapted for housing a tropical rainforest.
In recent years it has become more and more clear for us that the building is in bad shape. Over the years we have renovated part of the building as much as possible. Something that no longer carries out, neither financially or constructively. Parks and Resorts have therefore decided to close Aquaria permanently on September 30, 2018. The animals that live here will get new homes after that.
